COVID ICU occupancy rate down in 13 regions

General ward rate steady at 24% but down in 12 regions

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 16 - The COVID-19 occupancy rate in intensive care units across Italy has fallen, regional health service agency AGENAS said Wednesday.
    It remains at 12% nationwide, the agency said in its daily update.
    It is down in Abruzzo (to 13%), Basilicata (5%), Calabria (13%), Campania (8%), Emilia Romagna (12%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (17%), Marche (14%), PA Bolzano (7%), PA Trento (14%), Sicily (13%), Tuscany (13%), Umbria (8%), and Veneto (7%).
    It has only risen in Liguria (13%), AGENAS said on Tuesday's data.
    The COVID ICU occupancy rate is steady in seven regions: Lazio (19%), Lombardy (9%), Molise (13%), Puglia (13%), Sardinia (15%), Piedmont (12%), and Val d'Aosta (12%).
    The COVID occupancy rate in general wards is also stable at 24% across Italy, the agency said.
    It has only risen in Marche (to 31%) over the last 24 hours.
    It is down in 12 regions and autonomous provinces (PAs): Basilicata (al 26%), Campania (26%), Emilia Romagna (22%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (30%), Liguria (31%), Molise (23%), PA Bolzano (20%), PA Trento (22%), Piedmont (23%), Tuscany (21%), Val d'Aosta (23%), and Veneto (15%).
    It is stable in Abruzzo (36%), Calabria (31%), Lazio (29%), Lombardy (18%), Puglia (25%), Sardinia (25%), Sicily (35%), and Umbria (31%). (ANSA).
