(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 8 - Italian firefighters working in Turkey
after Monday's earthquakes that killed thousands of people there
and in Syria have managed to pull a 22-year-old man alive from
the rubble of a collapsed building in the city of Antakya,
sources said Wednesday.
Furthermore, Samuele Pacchi, one of the nurses who is part of
the Italian rescue effort, told ANSA that they have made contact
with two other people in the rubble of two other buildings - a
16-year-old boy in a basement and a 65-year-old woman who is
trapped inside a room.
"Now our team is at work to try and extract them from the
rubble," Pacchi said.
"At the moment we have only heard their voices". (ANSA).
