(ANSA) - FLORENCE, JAN 19 - Florence's Uffizi Gallery complex
said Thursday that it attracted over four million visitors in
2022.
That is more than double the 1.7 million visitors that went to
the complex, which includes the Uffizi, the Pitti Palace and the
Boboli Gardens, the previous year.
But it was still some 300,000 fewer visitors than in 2019, the
year before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the complex
registered its all-time record of 4.4 million visitors.
The complex also recorded record revenues of 35 million euros in
2022, with around two million coming from exhibitions organized
abroad. (ANSA).
